Come From Away

Come From Away is based on the true story of the time when the isolated community of Gander, Newfoundland, played host to the world. What started as an average day in a small town turned into an international sleepover, when 38 planes, carrying thousands of people from around the globe, were diverted to Gander’s airstrip on September 11, 2001. Undaunted by culture clashes and language barriers, the people of Gander cheered the stranded travelers with music, an open bar and the recognition that we’re all part of a global family.

Auditions
Auditions will be held at the historic Crawford School on Monday, April 20 from 6:00-8:30 PM. Follow the links below to sign up for an audition time, read audition instructions, and download audition sides. You will receive additional information to prepare after you have signed up for a slot.
We will be casting 6 male and 6 female roles with the potential for 2 swings/understudies.
Rehearsals will be held Monday-Thursday from 6-9 PM at the theater with performances June 19-20, 7:30 PM; June 21, 3:00 PM; June 25-27, 7:30 PM.
Sign up for a time slot for auditions or register to submit a video audition. Video auditions must be received BEFORE Apr 20, 2026. In-person auditions are highly encouraged over video.
Come From Away Audition Sides – Prepare a maximum of two roles. If not auditioning for a specific role, read Kevin J or Bonnie. You do not need to memorize the reading but familiarity with your character and accent is important.
